Synopsis

The Beatles together on film — for the last time!

"Let it be"

"Yeah, yeah - a hit!" Daily Mirror

This enthralling and nostalgic documentary movie provides a not-to-be-missed treat for all the fans of the legendary Beatles and for every lover of great pop songs and, commented Punch, "I did enjoy this". The film was The Beatles' third and final feature film, Following A Hard Day's Night and Help! and is a gripping and affectionate record of the group during their last recording sessions, shot in and around their famous Apple Studios in London. They are seen joking, composing and rehearsing some of their greatest songs: then, in the movie's second half, the screen explodes into a classic impromptu Beatles concert as the Fab Four play and sing on the roof of the Apple building while below, in the street, crowds gather, the police arrive and the traffic comes to a standstill. Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are in mesmerizing form, playing together for the last time before the group broke up and they went their separate ways. And the musical menu is a choice one - no fewer than 22 great songs, including Don't Let Me Down, Shake Rattle and Roll, Lordy Miss Claudy, Let It Be, I've Got A Feeling, Really Got a Hold on Me, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Besame Mucho and Long and Winding Road.
